In an effort to encourage Reading High School students as they prepare to take the Keystone Exam and let them know this city believes in them, Principal Turman offered a bit of real talk.
"When you hear constant negativity about the place you work, the place you grew up, when someone always has a negative opinion about you and what you do, it makes you work a little bit harder. Every kid who enters this high school is just as capable as any other kid in Berks County. What it always boils down to is the effort they bring to the table. ... This is about us. This is about how we come together and prove to people that we're a lot more than what they put in the press. We're a lot more than people's perception of us."
