Special shout out to the RHS Castleaires. The members are having an amazing season. On Saturday, the group received a rating of superior, as well as best saxophone section, best rhythm section, best woodwind soloist, best trombone soloist, best drum soloist and best overall soloist during a performance at Wilson High School.
But that’s not all. Last weekend, they traveled to West Chester University for a performance and clinic with Al Chez (trumpet player from the Tonight Show with David Letterman). They also participated in a competition at Conrad Weiser, where they received the highest ranking of Superior. Nick Fiucci received the best brass soloist of the evening. Karen Munoz received best soloist from Reading High School, best woodwind soloist of the entire evening and best overall soloist of the entire night.
More exciting news: The group will open up for Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center at Berks Jazz Fest next month!
