Too cute! Meet the Broccoli Club in Mrs. Reber's class at Amanda Stout. The class has been discussing healthy food choices and the importance of trying new foods. Since most of the students would not eat fresh broccoli, Mrs. Reber challenged everyone to try it together with the AES staff. All of the students decided they liked broccoli. The students who tried broccoli were able to add green beads to their Brag Tag Necklaces. There are now 9 students who eat broccoli every week,. #RSDproud
The colorful New Year's Resolutions board at 12th and Marion Elementary is a hit. Awilda Brea, the school's Parent Outreach Assistant, came up with the idea and created the project. It became a great way to incorporate all students and staff in a positive project, she said, adding the students love walking past and reading their classmate's resolutions. Resolutions included being nice, arriving to school on time, sharing and reading more, among others.
